Robiquity second to sign at Transmission

The automation software company has taken 5,700 sq ft at Allied London’s Enterprise City office building in Manchester.

Robiquity is relocating from Jactin House in Ancoats to Transmission, where it has signed a 10-year lease with a break after five years.

The company, which counts Microsoft among its clients, also has offices in California, Dubai, and Cairo.

“Manchester’s new city centre district for digital tech and creative businesses is the perfect place for our UK operation to thrive and grow,” said Tom Davies, Robiquity chief executive.

“We’re excited to be part of a true tech and creative community and to carry on with our mission to enable businesses and their people the time to fulfil their core purpose.”

Other occupiers at Enterprise City include video games developer Cloud Imperium, and artificial intelligence company Peak AI, which have taken space at Manchester Goods Yard.

In Transmission, Robiquity will join Proteintech, which signed for around 11,000 sq ft last year.

Robiquity was advised by Level, which has negotiated a string of deals at Enterprise City and Spinnginfields in recent months.

Virtus Talent signed up for 1,500 sq ft at ABC Buildings, Codurance has taken 18 desks at Bonded Warehouse, while Gibson Hollyhomes has signed for a 20-desk premium suite at Department XYZ in Spinningfields.

“Manchester’s office market is extremely active at present,” said Level founder Joe Averill.

“It’s no secret that the quality of buildings is advancing at a rate of knots. Businesses are increasingly aware of the power of quality amenities towards the wider culture piece. A nice new office isn’t the sole answer to a strong culture but workspace certainly plays a key part.”

Transmission, which was designed by 3DReid, provides 47,000 sq ft of workspace across nine floors and forms part of the former Granada complex. Architecture practice Levitt Bernstein won the original consent for the scheme in 2018.

The building is connected to the proposed Mollies Hotel and Diner and Soho House, which occupies another part of the old Granada complex and is due to open this year.

Yes, there’s one guy regularly on here who says ‘the office is dead… everyone works from home’ or no one lives in the city centre’ I suppose if you shout it for long enough one day he might be right…but I doubt it!
