FEC relocates UK HQ

The developer leading the creation of Manchester’s Victoria North is moving into 5,000 sq ft at Bruntwood SciTech’s Pall Mall, joining Sheppard Robson and Gunnercooke on the recently refurbished building’s roster.

FEC has signed a deal for the sixth floor of the 90,000 sq ft King Street building, relocating from Northern Assurance Building, where the firm has been located since 2017.

Gavin Taylor, managing director at FEC, said: “Establishing our UK headquarters at Pall Mall marks an important milestone for FEC as we continue to grow our presence in Manchester.

“The city is central to our long-term strategy, and this move enables us to bring our team together in a high-quality, flexible environment that reflects both our ambitions and our ongoing investment into Manchester and the wider region.”

Sheppard Robson has signed for just shy of 20,000 sq ft at Pall Mall, one of the larger deals in Manchester during the first quarter of the year.

Savills acted for Sheppard Robson, while LEVEL represented FEC.

Professional services firm Gunnercooke became the first company to commit to the revamped building, taking 16,000 sq ft.

Jack Harrison, senior commercial surveyor at Bruntwood SciTech, said: “These lettings underline our approach to creating places that not only honour Manchester’s architectural heritage, but also support the next generation of innovative businesses.

“Securing customers like Sheppard Robson and FEC, who already play an important role in the city’s growth, is a clear endorsement of both the building and the wider ecosystem we’re continuing to develop across the city centre; providing the environment, connectivity and community businesses need to grow.”
