Stonebond bags Bolton consent

The developer has the green light to deliver 60 affordable homes close to the Logistics North development.

In a decision notice issued by Bolton Council in December, approval has been given via advisor Hive Land & Planning for the homes, an approval that will serve as an extension of Stonebond’s adjacent development, which comprises 71 homes.

To be delivered by Stonebond, the 60 homes would be managed by provider Great Places Housing.

The proposed housing mix as set out in the planning application last summer indicates 21 two-bedroom, 28 three-bedroom, and seven four-bedroom houses will be built, with four one- and two-bedroom flats would rounding off the scheme.

The properties would be arranged off private drives accessed off a central spine road running south from Manchester Road West. Residents will have private gardens and look out over wildflower meadows.

Logistics North, which sits south and west of the site, has become an economic driver for the area, with Countryside and Bellway working on large-scale housing delivery close by.

Stonebond and Great Places agreed a partnership in 2023, aiming to deliver 600 homes together.

The plans can be viewed in full on Bolton’s planning portal, reference 20734/25.

The vehicular access looks to be from the south via the houses in the city of Salford, so assume Salford CC will be consulted too.
