Disley makes move to Carter Jonas
The consultancy has appointed Peter Disley as a partner in its Manchester planning and development team.
Disley joins as a regeneration and development specialist with more than 25 years’ experience across the public and private sectors, having spent time at organisations such as Praxis and the New East Manchester urban regeneration company.
His career spans consultancy, development and investment; giving him experience of projects from initial site identification and acquisition through planning, viability, funding, delivery and disposal.
Carter Jonas said that his appointment comes at a period of significant investment and regeneration across the North West, with major residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes creating growing demand for advice which brings together planning, development and commercial expertise.
Disley was most recently head of development at Lymm-based business Courts Real Estate. Previously, he had held senior development roles at Praxis Real Estate, New East Manchester URC and Cushman & Wakefield. Earlier in his career he worked for Drivers Jonas, before it was bought up by Deloitte.
Major projects worked on include the former RAF Sealand Site, Eastlands/SportCity in Manchester, St Stephens in Hull and strategic residential and mixed-use schemes in Cheshire, Salford and North Wales.
Disley will work from Manchester, where Carter Jonas is based at Bloc, Marble Street. The firm said his appointment will support closer collaboration between its planning & development team and Manchester commercial team, led by Matt Lee.

That will allow us to provide clients with joined-up advice from the earliest stages of a project through to delivery.”
