VIDEO | Wigan is being built on delivery, not promises

Wigan Council has an ambitious vision for its borough and is actively working to turn these plans into reality.

Director of place Aidan Thatcher told Place North West about how the local authority is working with partners to create places that people are proud of.

He spoke about the work being down in town centres – especially in Wigan – as well as the revitalisation programme underway at Haigh Hall to convert the historic property into a nationally significant cultural destination.

Thatcher also discussed how the local authority is approaching the practicalities around delivery, viability, and public engagement.
