Knowsley issues call for sites
The council is seeking pitches from landowners, developers, site promoters, and the local community for land that could be developed to meet local needs.
Plots for any use will be considered, with designations including but not limited to housing, employment, retail and leisure, renewable energy production, and biodiversity.
All sites should be submitted before the end of October for guaranteed consideration, though the call will not officially close.
Knowsley Council is seeking suggestions for plots of any size from all corners of the borough.
After receiving submissions, the council will determine whether each site is suitable, achievable, available for development, and compliant with national and local planning policy.
Once prospective sites are compiled, the council will assess them for potential inclusion within its forthcoming local plan.

Potential housing sites will also be considered for inclusion within the strategic housing land availability assessment 2025 update, which will examine how much land is available for housing.
The council reiterates that sites will not be guaranteed planning permission, noting the application process is separate.
