Duxbury returns to Bowker Sadler

The Stockport-based architecture practice has welcomed Alison Duxbury back as a director, almost a decade after she first joined the team.

Duxbury brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, and returns following seven years as a director at Triangle Architects, where she continued to develop her experience across housing, education, healthcare, regeneration and masterplanning.

Bowker Sadler, which counts the £10m Manchester City Women’s FC headquarters among its recent projects, said that the appointment strengthens the practice’s senior leadership team at an exciting time of growth.

Duxbury joins fellow directors Paul Jeffrey, Colin Leith and Dan Labella as well as founding partner Alan Sadler in the firm’s senior team.

Among her notable projects are the UK’s first purpose-built, majority LGBTQ+ extra care housing scheme for Great Places Housing Group, and the Hattersley Central regeneration project in Tameside.

Bowker Sadler expects Duxbury’s experience across complex housing and regeneration schemes to bring valuable insight to its portfolio of residential, education, regeneration and commercial work.

Bowker Sadler is progressing a number of major developments across the region, including new school projects with Galliford Try and Conlon Construction, 192 affordable homes at Droylsden Marina, 83 homes at Coalbrook Court in East Manchester, and the Houghton Green Estate regeneration project in Tameside for Irwell Valley.#

There are also commercial projects for Cats Protection and the University of Manchester.
