Balfour/Enterprise move 270 staff to Warrington

Balfour Beatty and Enterprise are creating a shared 20,000 sq ft office at Lingley Mere in Warrington to service a £3bn five-year United Utilities capital programme.

Balfour Beatty relocated 170 employees to the business park's Grasmere House and will be responsible for sewer refurbishment, flooding prevention schemes and improvements to the water network. Enterprise has moved 100 employees to Haweswater House and will work on the region's wastewater networks, including water main repairs, manhole replacement and sewer collapse repair. Staff relocated from various offices around the country.

Lingley Mere Business Park is a joint venture between United Utilities and Muse Developments So far 380,000 sq ft out of a proposed 1.25m sq ft of business space has been built. Tenants include North West Regional Fire Control Centre, EFG Matthews Furniture, MWH UK, Wates Retail and United Utilities.

Phil Mayall, senior development surveyor at Muse Developments, said: "We are delighted that Balfour Beatty and Enterprise have relocated to Lingley Mere Business Park. These two massive players in the engineering industry will bring additional knowledge and financial resource into the business community in Warrington."
