Adi sets up life sciences division, hires MD
Darren Lewis has left BES after more than 20 years to head up the engineering firm’s newly-created department.
Lewis has been appointed as managing director of Adi Group’s life sciences division, which will be based out of Ashton Old Baths in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
The division has been set up so that Adi can tap into the UK’s growing life sciences sector, providing design, engineering, and project management services to clients across the industry.
“The Adi life sciences division has a simple yet compelling vision with enormous potential,” said the firm’s chief operating officer Paul Smith.
“Darren will be the leader of a very disruptive entity in the market, and I look forward to seeing just how impactful the outcome of their work will be.”
Lewis has 35 years experience of in pharmaceutical design and build and has spent the last 20 years at Rochdale-based BES.
“I am excited to join a leading business with a multifaceted, turnkey approach that reflects my own approach to business,” he said.
“We want to become a partner to our clients, their single point of responsibility to achieve success, a mindset that is intrinsic to Adi Group as a whole.”
He will lead an 11-strong team at Adi Group.
“We are united by the same values and ethos, and most importantly, a passion to deliver,” Lewis added.
“But crucially, we are able to provide a revolutionary new service offering that thoroughly covers the needs of the life sciences industry.”
