Barker makes partner after more than 14 years at Workman
Manchester-based Michelle Barker is among 57 promotions across the property management business’s 11 UK offices.
Barker, alongside six of her Workman colleagues, has been made partner having first joined the company as a property administrator in 2012.
Since joining from the Mansion Group, she has made her way up through the ranks serving as a property manager, surveyor, associate, and senior associate along the way.
Matthew Pateman, managing partner, said parallels with Barker’s journey can be drawn across the business.
“We’re a property firm, but we’re really a people business,” he said.
“These 57 promotions are the clearest sign of that. People have grown here, built careers here, and are now leading the next chapter of what Workman is becoming. That’s exactly what we’re working towards — building the kind of firm where talented people can do the best work of their careers.”
The promotions cover the breadth of services lines Workman offers including property management and building consultancy.
Charlotte Bradley, group head of HR, said: “Fifty-seven promotions, including seven new partners – and every single one of them has earned it.
“We’re in a period of real progression at Workman, and the people being recognised today are central to that. We are building the best culture in the sector, and that takes genuine investment in the people who show up and deliver every day.”
Workman employs 900 staff across its 11 UK offices.
