Story Homes continues growth drive with 450-home Kendal plan
The housebuilder wants to redevelop an 82-acre site west of Burton Road, adding to its growing pipeline of projects.
Some 35% of the 450 homes proposed within Story Homes’ Kendal scheme would be affordable, according to planning documents uploaded to Westmorland and Furness Council’s planning portal.
The site is located within a “broad location” for growth within the South Lakeland Local Plan, according to Story.
Story Homes is among the most active housebuilders in the North West this year in terms of planning submissions. As well as the Kendal proposal, the firm is advancing plans for a combined 1,200 properties in Stockport, Brampton, West Lancashire, South Ribble, and Chorley.
