InfraRed Capital Partners and asset manager Sovereign Centros have agreed a 26,000 sq ft letting to Matalan at St George’s Shopping Centre in Preston.
The store will merge nine units and become the new anchor tenant for the 284,000 sq ft shopping centre.
St George’s is located between Preston’s two main shopping streets, Fishergate and Friargate. The centre has a 400-space multi-storey car park accessed from Lune Street and includes tenants Costa Coffee, H&M, M&S, New Look, and River Island.
InfraRed is currently on site at the centre building a 32,000 sq ft restaurant quarter at the shopping centre, made up of units. The development has received planning permission and construction has commenced.

This store will complement our existing tenant mix and represents a major step forward in the ongoing strategy to increase the fashion and homeware offer at the centre.”
