Cheshire landowners seek permission for 205 homes

Proposals have been tabled for hundreds of homes on 22 acres of grazing land off Crewe Road in Shavington.

Colin and Geraldine Silvester are looking to secure outline consent for 205 homes, 60 of which would be affordable.

The site would be accessed via Crewe Road and sits north of an existing residential area and east of the Shavington bypass.

Yesterday, land promoter Hallam Land launched consultations for two schemes totalling 2,800 homes in Cheshire East, noting the local authority’s housing supply shortage.

The Silvesters’ project team has also highlighted Cheshire East Council’s lack of a five-year housing land supply as a reason for the authority to look favourably on the plans.

Emery Planning is advising the applicant and EScape Urbansits is advising on design matters. Astute is the transport consultant.
