Leftfield acquires 124,500 sq ft Middleton shed

Let to global logistics outfit DB Schenker for the next six years, the unit was sold by Cabot Properties at a sub-5% yield.

London-based Leftfield, which has 4.5m sq ft of industrial assets under management across the UK, has bought the 124,500 sq ft Middlewich shed off Pochin Way for £17.75m, Place North West understands.

A Leftfield controlled vehicle based in Luxembourg changed its name to Leftfield Middlewich in July, according to Companies House. The company was previously controlled by Cabot chief executive Franz Ferdinand Colloredo Mansfeld.

The price paid for the Middlewich unit reflects a net initial yield of 4.95%, which is sharper than other recent big box investment comparables in the UK but not has low as some yields during the pandemic when demand for industrial space was especially high.

In September 2025, Place North West reported that Pontegadea, the property company owned by Inditex billionaire Amancio Ortega, had bought an 850,000 sq ft Amazon fulfilment centre in Knowsley for £81m at a NIY of 5%.

Cabot and Leftfield were approached for comment. CBRE advised the vendor.
