Crewe hat-trick for Legat Owen
Cheshire agent Legat Owen has completed three deals in the industrial, distribution and trade counter market in Crewe.
Parcel delivery firm Doddle has agreed a five-year lease at £28,500 a year, on a 4,500 sq ft unit at Orion Park, the last of a collection of speculatively built small units developed by Black & White to be let.
On The Gateway, Toolstation has signed up to a 10-year lease on a 3,750 sq ft trade counter unit, at a rent of £20,733 a year. The unit, owned by a private landlord, has been fully refurbished and fronts onto the main road through the Crewe Gates Industrial Estate.
In the third deal, Northern Polymers has satisfied its long-running requirement for a site in the town by buying two units on Quakers Coppice, totalling 4,234 sq ft. It has paid £320,000 for the buildings.
Matthew Pochin, director at Legat Owen, said: “All these lettings are further good news for the town and reflect the strength of rental and freehold pricing, but also exacerbate the problem of good quality stock drying up in the market.”
