Conwy consents plans for 70 affordable homes

Cartrefi Conwy has been granted approval to build houses and flats on 7.6 acres off Llanrwst Road, south of Glan Conwy.

The council granted planning consent for the 70-home proposal last week in line with officer recommendations.

The scheme is phase two of Cartrefi Conwy’s wider Maes y Felin development. The homes would be 100% grant funded and constructed on land east of phase one, which is largely complete.

The housing association is proposing a broad mix of accommodation types, including detached and semi-detached houses, flats, and bungalows.

There would be 27 one-bed flats and nine with two beds. There would also be 15 two-bed bungalows and 18 two-bed semis. Fourteen three-bed houses, 21 with four bedrooms, and six with five make up the housing offer.
