Barratt works up plans for another phase in Burnley
The volume housebuilder wants to construct 150 houses on 30 acres next door to its 87-home Brun Lea Heights development.
Barratt Homes has launched a public consultation on the plans, which would come forward on land south of Rossendale Road south-west of Burnley town centre.
The scheme would feature 5% affordable provision, a “significant amount” of public open space, and an EV charging point for every home, according to Barratt.
Ross Grace, development director at Barratt Homes, said: “We are pleased to share our proposals for land at Rossendale Road with the local community and invite residents to help shape the plans through this consultation.
“The proposals would provide much-needed new homes, including affordable housing, while creating substantial areas of publicly accessible green space, play space and landscaping that will support biodiversity and the wider environment.
“We encourage local residents to visit the consultation website, explore the proposals and share their views before any planning application is submitted.”
The project team features Savills on planning, ID Partnership as masterplanner, and FPCR on landscape. ACS Consulting, Tyler Grange, Focus Transport Planning, Air & Acoustic Consultants, E3P, ALM Consult, Cole Easdon, and Charlotte Leach Communications are also advising Barratt.
