Two Bolton firms combine services

Watson Laurie Group's Andrew Crompton is joining the board at the Vinden Partnership, following the amalgamation of the two Bolton-based firms.

Crompton, controller of Watson Laurie, will join managing director of the Vinden Partnership, Peter Vinden, who co-founded the company with his brother David Vinden 14 years ago.

The Vinden Partnership, which also has offices in Nottingham, offers advice on dispute resolution within the construction industry, while Watson Laurie provide risk management and insurance services.

The Vinden Partnership recorded a £3m turnover last year.

Royal Bank of Scotland funded the deal, with Cowgill Holloway acting as advisers on the combining of the two firms.
