Oglesby puts in for Winters Building conversion
Bruntwood chief executive Chris Oglesby has plans to convert the upper floors of the St Ann’s Square asset into apartments, including a penthouse taking up the entirety of the top floor.
Place North West reported earlier this year that Winters Building Freehold – a company established earlier this year that lists Oglesby and his wife Jane as directors – had acquired the grade two-listed Winters Building and was planning to transform it into apartments.
Plans for the scheme have now emerged, with Bridge Architects leading on the design of the homes, which planning documents state would be of “an outstanding design quality”.
A pair of two-bed apartments are planned on both the second and third floors while a three-bed penthouse – complete with dressing rooms and a space to store sports equipment – is proposed on the fourth floor.
The penthouse would benefit from a roof terrace while a yoga studio is planned on the second floor.
The ground floor, currently vacant and most recently occupied by COS, would be retained for retail.
