LSH swoops for capital markets director

Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Simon Marshall, with the brief of growing its agency presence across the North West and helping to boost the firm’s pipeline of instructions.

Having previously held roles at Savills, Cushman & Wakefield and Christopher Dee, Marshall boasts 17 years of experience within the North West investment market and joins LSH with a strong client base and a remit to drive its office, industrial and retail sectors forward across the region.

Already in post at LSH, Marshall has previously worked with high-profile clients including Chancerygate, APAM and Schroders, acquiring and disposing of assets across a range of sectors.

Christiaan Flatley, head of LSH’s Manchester office, said: “Simon is a key hire for us and represents a major coup for our existing North West offering.

“We are delighted to welcome him to our ever-expanding Manchester office where his wealth of experience and key industry contacts will add significant value to both clients and colleagues alike as we continue to grow our market presence across the region.”

Marshall added: “I am thrilled to have joined Lambert Smith Hampton at a time of strategic transactional growth in the regions, in particular supporting the continued growth of the North West offering.

“Against the backdrop of continuing macroeconomic uncertainty, clients more than ever are demanding a deeper level of support from their trusted advisors. The network that LSH provides will enable me to provide a best in class capital markets service.”

LSH has made a number of key North West appointments in the last 18 months, including the addition of Richard Shepherd as a director in its planning, regeneration & infrastructure team in December 2023.

In August last year, James Strong joined from Colliers to head development consultancy, while LSH opened a Liverpool office in November, primarily for its residential team.

Across the UK, LSH’s transactional service lines boast more than 100 professionals.
