LSH opens Liverpool office

Lambert Smith Hampton has further expanded its operations in the North West, signing a three-year lease for a new office at No10 Princes Dock.

The Liverpool office will be home to eight members of the property consultancy’s residential team, as well as a Merseyside base for visiting Manchester staff to work.

“Liverpool is a key market for us, and establishing a dedicated office here allows us to better serve our clients in the city and surrounding areas,” said LSH Residential managing director Paul Noble.

“Princes Dock offers the perfect environment for our growing LSH Residential team, with its vibrant community, great facilities and the very best low-carbon energy infrastructure,” he continued. “We are excited to be an active part of this thriving neighbourhood.”

Princes Dock is part of the Liverpool Waters development from Peel Waters. The mixed-use neighbourhood boasts a series of hospitality offerings including Chez Mal Brasserie, Cargo Seafood Restaurant, Bean Coffee, and Carnival Brewing Company.

Activities at the dock include axe throwing, canoeing, scuba diving, and open-water swimming. A floating sauna will be opening later this month.

Regarding Noble’s point about low-carbon energy infrastructure, No10 Princes Dock has been operationally net zero for several years. It will start receiving its heating and hot water from the Mersey Heat Network before the year’s out.

The district heat network is being developed by fellow Peel company Ener-Vate. When complete, it will utilise water from the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to help heat buildings throughout Liverpool Waters without the need for fossil fuels.

Liza Marco, senior asset manager at Liverpool Waters, said that the sustainability credentials of Princes Dock had been a major part in LSH setting up shop there.

“Our sustainability credentials, including our net zero status and the new Mersey Heat district heating network, were a key part of their decision to locate their new office at Princes Dock, along with the huge appeal of this amazing waterfront destination,” she said.

“We look forward to supporting their growth and success in Liverpool.”

At Princes Dock, LSH’s neighbours include KPMG, Rider Levett Bucknall, and Henry Bath.

CBRE and Avison Young acted for Liverpool Waters on the deal, while LSH represented itself.

The Liverpool branch boosts LSH’s office count to 29 across the country, including bases in Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, and London. The consultancy has more than 1,000 employees who offer public and private sector clients advice in planning, funding, valuation, and management – including the selling of property.
