Hurstwood snaps up 9,000 sq ft Blackpool office

The Manchester-based developer and investor has purchased Transaction House, a hybrid office and warehouse building near Blackpool Airport from a private vendor for an undisclosed sum.

Hurstwood Holdings bought the 9,321 sq ft two-storey building on Amy Johnson Way in an off-market deal prior to a planned auction.

The property, which was previously marketed by Pugh’s auction house in February for a guide price of £425,000, is self-contained and has a depot, loading bay and 17 car parking spaces.

It is situated within [pin url=”MAPLINK”][/pin]Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, off the A5230 Squires Gate Lane and around 2.5 miles from the M55 motorway.

Andy Park, managing director of Hurstwood, said: “We immediately recognised the value of this property, which is situated on a popular business park with a mix of office and industrial accommodation.

“The building can easily accommodate either a single tenant or multiple occupiers and will be available to rent from £8 per sq ft.”

Hurstwood is a commercial and residential property group has a portfolio of commercial and residential property valued at £160m across 100 UK sites.

In May, it completed the 23,000 sq ft first phase of its speculative Leigh Commerce Park scheme, reporting that all units had been fully let.

The company embarked on a national acquisition spree last year and is said to be eyeing further purchases in the region and beyond.
