Graham to build £130m Wirral Waters resi 

The contractor has been appointed to deliver the 500-home scheme following the announcement that Pension Insurance Corporation would forward fund the project.

Graham Construction will start work on the £130m Wirral Waters One this spring and completion is scheduled for late 2024.  

The low-carbon development will include 500 one and two-bedroom waterfront apartments, including 100 affordable homes. Rents on the affordable units will be a maximum of 80% of open market value, according to Peel.  

Wirral Waters One, to be built on a site next to Great Float Docks that has been vacant for more than 20 years, will be located next to Urban Splash’s East Float, and Belong Care Village, which is due on site in Spring 2022.

Wirral Waters One forms part of the £4.5bn regeneration of 500 acres of former docklands, which is being delivered by Peel L&P and Wirral Council. 

It is hoped that the execution of the masterplan will see 13,000 homes developed over the next 30 years.
