Chantry gets planning permission

Stockport-based Chantry Developments has secured planning permission for a 215,280 sq ft mixed-use business accommodation at New Cheshire Business Park in Northwich, Cheshire.

Chantry, advised by Manchester-based How planning and environmental consultancy, has been granted part-outline and part-full permission for industrial, office, distribution, trade and storage units to be built at the site located within the borough of Vale Royal.

The site was previously used as a salt processing plant – known as New Cheshire Salt Works – before it closed in 2006.

Chantry acquired the site in January last year, following an agreed deal with Northwich firm Texkimp, which had taken a purpose-built 18,000 sq ft facility in phase one of the development.
