Bill’s restaurant to open in Liverpool ONE
Restaurant chain Bill's is to open a 3,159 sq ft restaurant in Grosvenor's Liverpool ONE, in the former Café Sports Express unit, once operated by former Liverpool FC footballer Jamie Carragher's bar business.
Café Sports Express went into voluntary liquidation in October 2013.
The new restaurant between Chavasse Park and the Hilton Hotel will be the first Bill's in Liverpool and the brand's second in the North West, with its first set to open in Manchester's John Dalton Street in July. Bill's in Liverpool is due to open later this summer.
Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: "Bill's is a great new brand for Liverpool ONE. Their 'breakfast to bedtime' offer is perfect for Liverpool ONE, particularly in this location given its proximity to Liverpool ONE's hotels and the wider city centre context. With Liverpool ONE's footfall continuing to grow, and the city holding the position of the fastest growing tourist destination in the UK, Bill's will be a great success."
The announcement follows Grosvenor reporting a record year for Liverpool ONE's restaurants and cafés, with catering sales up by 13% year-on-year. Other new dining additions in the last six months included Ed's Easy Diner, independent coffee house, Home, the first TGI Friday's in Liverpool, and the first Hotel Chocolat Cocoa Café-Bar in the North West.
Cushman & Wakefield and Tushingham Moore acted for Liverpool ONE. Mason Owen represented Bill's.
