Alliance prepares for May start on Oxygen

Piling work is due to begin next month at Property Alliance Group’s 31-storey Oxygen tower, planned for near Manchester’s Piccadilly station.

Russells is the main contractor, and has been on site with enabling work and demolition of existing buildings at the Store Street site since Christmas.

The high-rise residential scheme was approved by Manchester City Council in March 2016.

Designed by 5plus Architects, Oxygen includes 345 apartments and 12 townhouses, alongside leisure facilities and rooftop gardens.

The townhouses wrap around the base of the tower. The development also features allotments and a 24-hour concierge.

The project is due to complete in 2018.

Oxygen is being marketed to overseas investors. A standard two-bedroom apartment starts at £240,000, while the three-bedroom townhouses are on sale for £450,000.
