Profectus adds Brown from AY
Dan Brown has joined Profectus Town Planning, making a director-level switch from Avison Young.
Brown, a chartered town planner with 20 years of experience, was made director at AY in March 2023, around four years after he joined the consultancy from WYG.
He has now started in his new role, joining founder Steve Renshaw and assistant planner Tommy Bishop-Broadhurst to continue Profectus’ growth after its establishment in 2024.
Brown specialises in delivering complex retail, leisure, and commercial development projects. His recent schemes include securing planning permission for forthcoming Aldi stores in Litherland , which was approved in December, Deeside, Burnley, and Accrington.
He also acted on behalf of Maple Grove Developments and Onward Homes on a 57,000 sq ft mixed-use commercial development at Stockport Road, Hattersley, which was approved last year.
Steve Renshaw, Profectus founder, said: “Dan is one of the top retail planners in the country so we’re absolutely delighted to have him join the team to help continue to deliver responsive, commercially focused and creative town planning advice across our ongoing projects.”
Great to have you join the team Dan!
