Preston set to greenlight city centre resi
Northern Estates wants to build a five-storey apartment block between Winckley Square Gardens and Fishergate Shopping Centre.
Preston City Council’s planning committee will meet next week to determine the application, which has been recommended for approval by officers.
Designed by 1618 Architects, the scheme proposes the construction of an apartment block featuring 53 one-bed flats and 10 with two bedrooms.
The plans supersede an earlier proposal from Northern Estates for which the developer secured consent in 2020. That scheme proposed the creation of 47 flats within a seven-storey block.
The site was previously occupied by Lanson House, which was demolished at the back end of last year. Part of the plot, located on the corner of Mount Street and Garden Street, remains occupied by the former Newman College Sports Hall.

Is this the Mustaq Bhailok company? Registered in British Virgin Islands and verified by Bhailok Fielding Solicitors, so seems to be the one. Different to the Northern Estates LTD that went bust as that was a Manchester company. I hope this actually gets built.
