LOFT makes Trafford Park move

The Manchester-based furniture and interior design firm has signed a 10-year lease on a 45,000 sq ft unit at Indurent’s Longwood Estate off Hattons Road.

The deal sees LOFT consolidate its operations at Trafford Park, vacating its two existing sites at Maple Industrial Estate in Ardwick and Ayres Road in Old Trafford.

The firm is aiming to take up residence in its new home in May.

Benjamin Hall, founder and chief executive of LOFT, said the consolidation would remove barriers to growth.

“This move is about giving our business the infrastructure it needs to fulfil its potential,” he said.

“We’ve been operating across fragmented sites for years and, whilst that served us through various growth phases, it created real limitations — in logistics, in collaboration, and in how we present ourselves to the institutional clients we serve.”

Hall added: “Consolidating into a single, purpose-built facility at Trafford Park transforms our operational capability. Centralised inventory, faster order processing, and a modern environment where our design, sales, and warehouse teams all work under one roof — that translates directly into better service for our clients across BTR, PBSA, and co-living. For our partners, it means projects stay on track and residents move in on time, every time.

“After 23 years, LOFT is levelling up. Longwood Estate is the platform for our next phase of growth.”

Roger Hannah advised LOFT and DTRE and B8RE advised Indurent on the deal.

Founded in 2003, LOFT employs 150 staff across its Manchester, London, Ningbo, Dubai, and Hong Kong bases. The business provides furniture and interior design solutions for the build-to-rent, co-living, PBSA, and social housing sectors.

Recent schemes include Cortland Colliers Yard and Renaker’s Vista River Gardens and The Blade.

David Tyson, head of MLI North at Indurent, said: “LOFT’s commitment to Trafford Park is an important addition to our portfolio at one of the UK’s most established and strategically important industrial locations. This 10-year lease underlines the value occupiers place on high-quality refurbished space, particularly space that can flex to meet evolving operational requirements.”
