Kellen appoints head of partnerships
The regional housebuilder has drafted in Laura Moreland, who joins from her previous role as head of land and partnerships at consultancy CPC Project Services.
Prior to joining CPC in 2023 Moreland spent close to seven years with registered provider Your Housing Group.
Moreland’s new role will see her build on existing partnerships and create strong relationships with new organisations to help deliver Kellen’s ambitious plans for housing development across the North West, the firm said.
She said: “Kellen is an dynamic and progressive company with a strong drive and clear direction of travel.
“I am excited about the scale of the business and the agile and fresh approach to house building that has seen Kellen grow to be a significant force in the industry in just five years since its inception.”
Kellen chief executive Ian Kelley added: “It’s great to welcome Laura to the team at Kellen where I believe she will bring her passion, expertise and considerable experience across different aspects of the industry to help us continue to grow and lead the market with our development of partnerships allowing us to deliver quality homes and communities across the North West.”
Founded in 2020, the Birchwood Park-headquartered Kellen Homes has rapidly become an active player in the North West market. Ex-Countryside director Kelley leads the business, with Daren Whitaker, owner of Renaker as a primary shareholder.
In addition to market housing, Kellen Homes works in partnership with build to rent investors, registered providers and local authorities.
The firm has this month submitted plans for 248 homes within Oldham’s strategic Broadbent Moss/Beal Valley allocation, while in December Kellen and partner Great Places secured a long-awaited reserved matters approval for a contentious 200-home scheme at Mirrlees Fields, Stockport.
