Liverpool tries again to dispose of 85,000 sq ft of vacant offices

Worthington Owen has been appointed to seek a combined £3.25m for Premier Court and Venture Place.

Liverpool City Council has deemed the office building’s surplus to requirements and is looking to cash in.

Premier Court is located off Hatton Garden and provides 40,800 sq ft across six floors. The former Epstein Centre is included in the opportunity, for which offers of £2.5m are sought.

Back in 2019, CBRE was appointed to find a buyer for the building but no deal was struck.

The eight-storey Venture Place on Sir Thomas Street was once home to BBC Radio Merseyside. It offers 45,000 sq ft and is up for grabs for £1.75m.

Liverpool has also tried to sell Venture Place once before. In late 2022, Worthington Owen was appointed to seek bids around £.2.m for the asset, which has been vacant for nearly five years.

Liverpool City Council’s cabinet member for growth and economy Cllr Nick Small said: “The sale of both buildings is part of the Council’s drive to deliver long-term savings and generate capital receipts which can be reinvested in city projects.

“The sales are aligned with the City Council’s wider accommodation strategy which seeks to rationalise its operational assets. We are delighted to be working alongside Worthington Owen in these sales.”
