IFB announces programme for manufacturing, science and tech
The International Festival for Business has unveiled its first round of events for the country's manufacturing, science and technology business communities, as part of the 50-day business conference due to take place in Liverpool this summer.
Miracle materials, nuclear energy, world-beating life sciences and best of British advanced engineering will take centre stage, with a range of events occurring across the North of England. These include:
British Business Embassy opening event: 9 June, Liverpool
International Trade Expo: 10-11 June, Liverpool
Graphene Ultimate Advanced Material: 12-13 June, Manchester
Cholmondeley Pageant of Power and North West Automotive Alliance: 13-15 June, Cheshire
UKTI ICT Sector Event: 24 June, Sci-Tech Daresbury
Nuclear UK: 25 June, Warrington
Global Manufacturing Festival: 25 June, Sheffield
Bio Hub at Alderley: 26 June, Cheshire
Catalysing Growth in the UK Chemicals Industry: 27 June, Liverpool
UKTI Advanced Manufacturing Sector Event: 7 July, St. Helens
Made in the UK awards and exhibition: 21-22 July, Liverpool
Further events around manufacturing, science and technology will be confirmed between now and June, when the global business festival launches.
These will include a further programme of breakfast, daytime and evening events being organised by EEF, in conjunction with Siemens, throughout the week commencing 23 June.

IFB is officially partnered by BT and Santander, with CNN International and the Financial Times as media partners.
Place North West will be hosting PlaceEXPO at IFB, with a seven week programme to display the skills and assets that the North West property sector has to offer the rest of the world.
