Tesla in talks for 150,000 sq ft in Trafford Park
DTZ Investors is in discussions with the electric vehicle giant, which is eyeing up the recently redeveloped Guardian printworks site off Longbridge Road as a delivery hub.
Tesla has applied to Trafford Council to make tweaks to the layout of the scheme, which completed last year, to include a spray booth, wash bay, and EV parking spaces.
A planning statement prepared by ELG planning states that “the site at Trafford will help to support [Tesla] in delivering high quality electric cars”.
The building would be used mainly for storage of cars constructed elsewhere that are delivered to the site to be collected by customers.
Tesla would join neighbouring occupiers Amazon, Kellogg’s, L’Oréal, DHL, Stobart, and Adidas within Trafford Park.
Contractor Russell WBHO reached practical completion on a 150,000 sq ft unit off Longbridge Road, built on the site of the former Guardian printworks.
Trafford 150 was developed by DTZ Investors in partnership with Graftongate.
Agents for Trafford Park are BNP Paribas Real Estate, Savills and JLL.
All parties were contacted for comment.

Good news for Trafford Park. I thought the big site they have now by the Etihad could be used for delivery but obviously sales only.
