ClwydAlyn’s £10m affordable Anglesey resi cracks on

St Asaph-based K&C Construction has broken ground at the site and will take on the MMC build, aiming to complete the project by spring 2027.

Welsh developer ClwydAlyn invested £10.2m into the affordable scheme in partnership with Anglesey County Council, which will deliver 54 homes to Cae Bothan, off Porthdafarch Road in Holyhead.

The development will offer potential Holyhead residents a range of 10 two-, 12 three-, and six four-bedroom houses.

A further 20 one-bedroom apartments and six two-bedroom bungalows round off the housing mix.

Each home will be made energy efficient with the use of solar panels and battery storage, air source heat pumps, and locally sourced materials where possible.

Llinos Medi, Plaid Cymru MP for Anglesey, said: “A housing shortage and a growing number of island residents facing homelessness is a serious problem. These homes will provide much-needed housing for many once completed.”

Carl Roberts, managing director of K&C Construction, added: “K&C Construction is delighted to be delivering on this important and much-needed affordable housing scheme created within our longstanding partnership.

“This development is the result of close collaboration with key stakeholders to address local housing needs, while also ensuring the protection and enhancement of the local environment in such a beautiful location.

“We remain committed to creating sustainable communities that benefit both residents and the wider area.”

ClwydAlyn is an active developer in the region, with work underway on projects in Wrexham and Pwllheli.
