Plans for 159 affordable homes tabled in Wrexham
ClwydAlyn Housing Association has submitted an outline application to build up to 159 affordable homes on a brownfield site off Llangollen Road in Wrexham.
The 18-acre former Air Products site would see a vision “to deliver high-quality affordable homes for local people” realised.
PLPlanning submitted the application to Wrexham County Council, while designs have been drawn by Munro Associates Architectural Services.
All proposed homes would be one or two storeys high and target a minimum EPC Grade A rating.
The housing mix would consist of 49 two-bed houses, 45 three-beds, and 23 four-bed houses.
In addition, 17 two-bed bungalows and 24 one-bed walk-up flats would be constructed.
Houses would be either detached, semi-detached, or in terraces of three or four properties.
In most cases, each house would have a private garden stretching more than 540 sq ft.
Parking spaces would be provided for every home.
The project’s team includes SCP Transportation Planning, Lingard Farrow Styles, Ecology Design Consultant, and Shields Arboricultural Consultancy.
