Christie reports strong interest in Travelodges

Christie & Co is inviting bids for six Travelodge hotels including the Manchester Street site in Oldham. The 102-bed hotel is on offer at £1.5m.

Travelodge entered into a Company Voluntary Arrangement earlier this year, which involved offloading 49 hotels it considered no longer viable.

The properties, which include prime locations in Bath and Edinburgh, are owned by Piccadilly Hotels and leased to Travelodge.

Jeremy Jones, director of corporate hotels at Christie & Co, said: "We have received a significant level of interest in all the hotels."
