Asics on the move in Warrington

On behalf of its client Plus Dane Housing, BE Group has let an 11,000 sq ft office to international sportswear brand Asics at 3 Clearwater, Lingley Mere.

Lingley Mere, known as the long-established headquarters office park of United Utilities, also incorporates Clearwater, a development of five self-contained office buildings totalling 72,500 sq ft.

Japanese-owned sports brand Asics is a long-term occupier in Warrington, previously being based at Europa Boulevard. where it had an office and distribution centre. Having outsourced distribution, the business was looking for office space alone.

Simon Roddam, director at BE, said: “The Warrington office market produced 50,000 sq ft of office transactions in the first quarter of 2018, which is a good start to the year.

“The vast majority of transactions were Warrington occupiers relocating and expanding in the borough, which is a strong characteristic of the Warrington market.

“Asics are a household name and therefore an attractive tenancy for any business park in the North West. Image and location played a huge part in their search for a new office and we were pleased to have the right property solution”.

The business has committed to a five-year lease, and was represented by Blanchflower Lloyd Baxter. BE Group acted as sole agent for Plus Dane Housing Group.
