Affordable homes planned for former Wirral fuel storage site

Working with housing providers Anwyl and Magenta, Hampstead Regeneration wants to build on 10 acres off Ferry Road in Eastham.

The scheme would feature 136 affordable homes, including 65 for social rent. 41 for shared ownership and 30 rent-to-buy properties are also planned.

Considered by the project team to constitute Grey Belt, the site was previously used to store fuel by Shell and the Ministry of Defence.

Hampstead Regeneration, part of Hampstead Capital headed up by Chris Beard, acquired the site from the Ministry of Defence in 2023, according to planning documents.

Pegasus is advising on planning matters. Ascerta, E3p, APD, Calibre, IGE, Brimstone, and Redmore Environmental are also advising.
