LNT Care pursues Burnley opportunity
The sector specialist wants to deliver a 66-bed care home off Ridge Avenue, on the north-eastern edge of the Lancashire town.
Headquartered in Leeds, LNT Care Developments has delivered more than 275 care homes, which are then operated by sister company Crystal Care Collection.
At Ridge Avenue the firm proposes a three-storey structure, with two wings leading off from a central facilities block.
The site is grassland, has an existing access from Ridge Avenue, and has a consent for up to 40 homes establishing the principle of development, dating from February this year.
LNT’s professional tram includes Dudleys Consulting Engineers, Cavendish, Carterwood Consulting, Arbtech, KALACO, Groundtech Consulting, and PJA.
Making the case in a planning statement, the application team said: “Care homes built by LNT are designed with residents’ comfort at heart and to provide excellent day to day amenities and facilities that reflect modern domestic comforts. This includes main lounges/dining rooms, café and bar areas, quiet lounges/family rooms, garden rooms, a library, cinema room, clinic and hair salon.
“These facilities are particularly important for residents, who will rely upon easy and amenable access, regular activity, entertainment and familiar settings to maintain a good quality of life and wellbeing.”
