VIDEO | GIA reflects on growing alongside Manchester over last decade
GIA set up its Manchester office in 2015 just as the city was embarking on skyline-altering transformation.
The building consultancy’s Manchester office was established by Sam Wallis and has grown from a one-man operation to a 20-person team over the last decade.
GIA, which operates across the UK and Ireland, has been involved in some of Manchester’s highest profile and largest projects since then, including Renaker’s four-tower Deansgate Square, the scheme that sparked Manchester’s skyscraper boom.
The firm is best known for its work on rights of light and daylight but covers every dimension of a property’s lifecycle with boundary mapping, building surveying, light obstruction notices, measured surveys, party wall and neighbourly matters, solar PV, and wind specialists in-house.
GIA has exclusive access to “state-of-the-art technology and digital platforms” to ensure it can deliver results with speed and accuracy.
“What sets us apart is our ability to find creative solutions to challenges that others may consider unsolvable,” Wallis said.
