Taylor Wimpey puts in for its share of Worsley scheme
The volume housebuilder wants to construct 171 houses at Hazelhurst Farm alongside 155 from Story Homes.
Taylor Wimpey and Story Homes combined to buy the 60-acre Worsley site from Peel Land, which secured a hybrid consent in November last year.
Story lodged plans for 155 homes in February and now Taylor Wimpey is seeking reserved matters consent for 171 residences across two phases totalling 11.5 acres.
The scheme will feature 20% affordable provision and a mix of one-, two-, three-, and four-bed houses and maisonettes.

Peel Land secured hybrid consent for 400 homes at the 60-acre Worsley site earlier this year. The combined Story and Taylor Wimpey scheme will see 326 homes delivered, a reduction of 74 compared to the original vision, which also includes a primary school.
