Saica Pack to offload prime 14-acre Ellesmere Port site 

The company is consolidating operations to its Wigan site, rendering the 234,000 sq ft cardboard packaging facility surplus to requirements. 

Saica Pack has appointed Eddisons and Vail Williams to sell the 1960s Ellesmere Port industrial plot. 

“This is a prime site at the heart of the North West logistics network,” said Eddisons director Robert Diggle.  

“Sites of this size and pedigree come on the market rarely and, with demand for quality warehouse and industrial space currently reaching critical levels across the North West, we expect a buyer for the former Saica site to be found very rapidly.” 

The complex occupies a 14-acre site between junctions 7 and 8 of the M53 and comprises 215,000 sq ft of factory space as well as around 19,000 sq ft of office space across two floors. 

The Saica Pack site, which was originally part of the Bowater Containers paper factory, is also adjacent to the 42-acre Link Logistics Park, being developed by Firethorn for Cain International.
