Asteer makes Grant technical director

Phil Grant has been promoted a little over two years since joining the town planning consultancy as an associate.

Grant has been made technical director in Asteer Planning’s 26-strong team, headed up by founder and managing partner Jon Suckley.

Grant joined the business, which has just turned five, from Euan Kellie Property Solutions in 2024. He has more than 20 years’ experience as a planner and advises clients across residential, commercial, and regeneration.

In addition to Grant’s promotion, Asteer has further bolstered its ranks with four new starters – three graduates and one assistant planner – joining in late summer.

Founded in 2021, Asteer provides expertise across six sectors: residential, regeneration and commercial, EIA, strategic delivery, and land assembly. The firm also has a land advisory arm that works with landowners to maximise the value of their holdings.

The firm’s current schemes include FEC’s Red Bank neighbourhood, the expansion of Stockport County’s Edgeley Park, the recently approved Camelot housing scheme in Chorley, and the regeneration of Prestwich.
