Rowland acquires eight acres in Chorley for 97 homes
The developer has bought a parcel of land adjacent to Cuerden Valley Park, intending to be on-site towards the end of the year subject to planning permission.
Plans are already in with Chorley Council for 97 homes off Nell Lane and Lancashire-based Rowland has completed the purchase of the eight-acre site from landowner Cuerden for an undisclosed fee.
Adam Westwell of Turner Westwell advised Cuerden on the sale of the land.
If approved, the scheme would see development of three-, four-, and five-bed houses.
These would range from three-bed semi-detached to four and five-bed detached family homes. Of those homes, 30% would be classed as affordable.
Jon Pickthall, land director at Rowland, said: “Our land and technical teams have worked quickly over the last couple of months to agree on this acquisition and have recently submitted a planning application for 97 homes.
“We are looking forward to developing another premium Rowland development within a mile of our Leyland office.”
Chorley Council planners will decide on the proposals at a future date.
De Pol Associates and landscape architect Richard Eaves feature on the project team.
