RLB expands into Liverpool
Property and cost consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has opened its first office in Liverpool, and hired a surveyor from Arcadis to lead a team of five staff.
The move sees the firm, which provides cost consultancy, project management, building surveying and advisory services, expanding its presence in the North by adding to its existing offer in Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds.
RLB has taken space in Bruntwood’s Plaza building on Old Hall Street.
The new office will be led by associate building surveyor Jon Ward. Ward has 16 years’ experience working in the affordable housing sector, mostly on planned and programme works within Merseyside. Further appointments are expected in the coming months.
Ward said: “I look forward to leading the company in the Liverpool market. The new office enables us to service existing clients from a local base and raise the RLB profile across the North of England.
“This will create many opportunities for local people as we seek to recruit a number of technical staff to deliver projects in the region.”
Russell Bolton, managing partner at RLB’s office in Manchester, said: “This move will take us to eleven offices in the UK, with over 450 staff.
“We are looking forward to growing our business in Liverpool and the surrounding area and anticipate announcements about further appointments to the Liverpool office later this year.”
