Refused Dane Road plans resubmitted

Plans for a four-storey apartment block alongside the Bridgewater Canal in Sale have been resubmitted to Trafford Council by McGoff Group’s housing arm Villafont Homes, after refusal in August 2018.

The plans for the 22,000 sq ft site were originally refused due to the site’s location, the density of the development, and the risk to future residents because of the hazardous substance consent at nearby Danefield Road Holder Station.

Plans include the demolition of existing Mayfield House offices and The Lodge, a residential property with two-units. The site would then be replaced by 29 apartments, eight one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom. Three units, two one-bedroom and one two-bedroom have been designated as affordable homes.

The scheme has been designed by Street Design Partnership with Garner Town Planning acting as the planning consultant. DEP Landscape Architects provided the landscaping proposals. Construction would be completed by McGoff’s construction arm.
