Prescott and Pilla on the move in Manchester

Rob Prescott, formerly of OBI, and ex-Cushman & Wakefield man Giovanni Pilla have started new jobs at Schroders and CBRE respectively.

Prescott has joined Schroders as asset manager after two-and-a-half years at OBI Property.

As part of this newly-created role, he will support the real estate team on assets across mandates operating in the region. These include the recently awarded Greater Manchester Pension Fund mandate, Schroder UK Real Estate Fund, Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust, and Schroders Regional Office Property Unit Trust.

Prescott will report to fund manager Phil Scott.

Nick Montgomery, head of UK real estate investment at Schroders Capital said: “Rob is well placed to support the growth of our Manchester-based team and his experience of working across the North West and regional markets brings us even closer to the occupier and investment markets in which we are operating.

“We expect to make further hires in Manchester to support the growth of our UK business.”

Elsewhere, Pilla has left Cushman & Wakefield after six years to join CBRE’s nine-strong capital markets team as associate director.

He will work alongside Colin Thomasson and Tom Sinclair who lead CBRE’s residential investment activity across the North of England.

Tom Sinclair, CBRE director, said: “Giovanni is widely regarded as a rising star in the investment market, having developed a wealth of knowledge and an exceptional understanding of the Build to Rent sector.

“His knowledge and experience will ensure that we are able to continue to deliver exceptional results for our clients across the North of England.”
