Developer Peel L&P’s vision for a 31-storey tower at Princes Dock, the latest scheme at Liverpool Waters, has been approved by the city council, alongside SEP Construction Services’ plans for a 300-apartment project in Everton.

Peel L&P has won approval for its £50m, 278-apartment Patagonia Place development on William Jessop Way, having lodged plans for the scheme in May.
Affordable housing provider Your Housing Group will own and operate the tower under an arrangement with Peel L&P, and contractor Vermont is lined up to build the scheme.
Falconer Chester Hall took over as architect from Brock Carmichael, which designed an earlier iteration of the development put forward by Your Housing Group.
Having won consent for a residential tower in 2017, the YHG-led scheme stalled when the construction contract was retendered.
Contractor ISG had been the frontrunner to deliver the tower after entering late-stage negotiations. However, a retendering process was then held, which saw Graham Construction and Vinci bid for the project, but no agreement was reached.
Patagonia Place forms part of a trio of towers at Peel L&P’s wider Liverpool Waters development.
Vermont completed construction of the first tower – the Hodder & Partners-designed Plaza 1821 – in the summer, while the largest tower – Moda’s 35-storey The Lexington – is being built by BCEGI and topped out in August.

SEP Construction Services has secured consent to develop 300 apartments on a site off Fox Street and St Anne’s Street in Everton.
The £29.5m proposal is for 21 studios, 143 one-bedroom apartments and 136 two-bedroom apartments.
Pointfield Developments won permission for a scheme of 313 apartments in 2016 at the two-acre former industrial site, a consent that developer Citipads had extended to 325 in 2018.
However, a start on site never materialised.
Similar to the previously approved development, SEP proposes a scheme varying in height between five and eight storeys, across three blocks.
A planning officer’s report noted that SEP’s proposal “represents a regression in design quality from the previous approved scheme”.
Adam Morgan, co-founder Studio RBA, said: “This is a major gateway site to Everton’s district centre to the north and the city centre to the south so it was important that we set an appropriate tone in terms of its presence and scale.
“It has been a team effort with the other professionals in terms of getting this over the line and we’re now gearing up for delivery mode.”
The site overlooks the £48m under-construction Merseyside Police headquarters, which is being built by contractor Willmott Dixon.
