Casey plans Smallbridge extension

Rochdale Council has granted planning permission for Casey Group to develop 150,000 sq ft of industrial-led business space in Smallbridge Business Park.

Rochdale-based Casey Group, which is also the contractor on the project, will enter into a labour agreement with the council to hire local people for the construction work.

John Hyland, operations manager at Casey Group, said: "There is a demand in Rochdale for flexible, good quality accommodation to meet the needs of a range of businesses. These plans are designed to respond to that demand and will attract a wide range of occupiers to the area for the benefit of the whole community."

Chris Casey, managing director, said: "We are very pleased to be investing so close to home, and we are already receiving enquiries for the scheme. Our future is in Rochdale, and we encourage other companies to share our vision."

The sole agents for this scheme are Preston O'Herlihy. Planning advice was provided by Indigo Planning and transport planning by SK Transport Planning. The architect for the scheme is CaD Architecture, and environmental consultancy was provided by Rodgers Leask Environmental.
