Muir appoints new housing boss

Muir Group Housing Association has recruited Mark Pearson from Aspire Housing to the newly created position of head of housing and support services.

Muir Group Housing Association is based in Helsby near Chester and has 5,000 properties across the country.

Pearson said: "There are some important issues affecting the whole sector, including welfare reform, changes in regulation and funding cuts.

"It will be a testing time ahead and one of my key tasks will be to ensure our commitment to our residents remains the priority as we face these challenges."

At Aspire, which owns properties in Staffordshire and Cheshire, Pearson managed independent living and sheltered care stock.
